Partners behind every founder

Operators, investors and bankers who have built, funded and sold companies. Every founder we back works with all four of us, and with our LPs, partners and networks across the United States, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Steve O’Hara

Founder, Managing Partner

Steve O’Hara

More than 30 years building and investing in Silicon Valley. Steve is a three-time venture-backed, exited founder and was twice an Entrepreneur in Residence at Kleiner Perkins, so he knows the founder’s seat firsthand. Steve spends time with our founders working on hiring, operational decisions, strategy, and product-market fit discovery.

Stephen Wong

Managing Partner

Stephen Wong

Before Valley Capital Partners, Stephen spent 26 years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, covering companies including Palantir, Illumio and Fanatics. Stephen leads our work with founders after we invest: financing strategy, growth and, eventually, the exit. Our founders spend time with him on capital markets, global partnerships and access to Asia Pacific LP and corporate partner networks.

Mitchell Kokko

General Partner

Mitchell Kokko

Before Valley Capital Partners, Mitchell spent five years at the University of Notre Dame’s venture fund, rising from analyst to Principal and investment committee member. Mitchell leads diligence, deal structuring and negotiation, and firm operations, and keeps our process clear and moving for founders. Our founders work with Mitchell on capital-raising strategy, institutional-grade materials, governance best practices and access to US LP and corporate partner networks.

Antonio Espinosa

General Partner

Antonio Espinosa

Formerly a Partner at SUI Capital and at Morgan Stanley, Antonio joined VCP as a Venture Partner and rose to Operating Partner and now General Partner. Antonio leads early channel-partner work for portfolio companies ready to scale, and helps our founders understand and access Latin American markets. Our founders work with Antonio on building global customer support teams, scaling sales and business development, and opening new partnership and distribution channels.
